About this tool
Upload forms, email and websites often set a maximum file size. This tool gets your image under that exact limit while keeping it as sharp as possible.
It searches for the highest JPG or WebP quality that fits, and only reduces the pixel size when that alone isn’t enough. For limits above 1 MB, type the size in KB (1 MB is 1024 KB).
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent anywhere, and the tool keeps working even if you go offline after the page has loaded.
Why is the result a little smaller than my target?
The tool always stays just below the limit, because portals reject files that are even slightly over.
Can I keep it as a PNG?
PNG can’t be compressed to a chosen size without shrinking the image a lot. JPG or WebP give a much better result at the same file size.
Is it free?
